Genre and Sub-Genre

Genre is the term for any catergory of art or culture in this case Film. Sub Genre is the different catergories within that one Genre for instince Thriller.
There are many Sub-Genres in Thriller: - Comedy (e.g. Tower Heist)
                                                         - Romance (e.g.In Time)
                                                         -Sci Fi (e.g. Alien vs. Predator)
                                                         -Action (e.g.James Bond)
                                                         -Pyschological (e.g. Memento)
                                                         -Crime (e.g.Taken)
                                                         -Spy (e.g. Salt)
                                                         -Pollitical (e.g. Enemy of State)
                                                         -Mystery(e.g. Abduction)
The Thriller genre is targerted at 16-35 yr olds. Thrillers arent my favorite type of genre, but my favorite sub genre is Action and Psychological as action thrillers have amazing stunts and special effects and pyschological thrillers make you think and are very interesting.

Black Swan is a Pyschological Thriller. I thinks its targerted at 15 years and above because it might contain scenes that are not suitable for children. Also i think it will mainly attract women and gay men as it revolves around the ballet world and the two main characters are female. Even the poster emphaises the genre as there is a long poignant crack in the poster which is intriguing and can highlight that the main character is weak and vulnerable. It also emphasises that she might not be in the right state of mind.
