There were 38 suspense films released in the year 2010, and took an average gross of £42 million. Suspense movies did increasingly better than recent years (2008-2009), this is because the movies that were released had big named actors like Leonardo Decaprio in the movie 'Shutter island'. This made the movie popular as the actor is well-known and liked therefore raising the sale prices.
