In this screen shot of the movie 300, you can clearly see the conventions of a film opening by the 9 captures that consist of its opening. 300 is a goury raged war film about an army of 300 men, the way in which the tittle of the movie is written relates to the genre and story line of the movie, it is shown in a deep red colour which is also shown to be splatered around it, in addition the way the 3 is shown looks like the gash or movement of a sward. This shows to the audience that the movie is violent and consists of death as the black background can show this.
Production and distribution companies are both shown before any other tittles (production being first) this follows by the tittle of the movie and then important actors and other relervant information.
